The Outpost on Black Creek is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The bar is known for its delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and live music. But one of the things that makes it truly unique is its crawfish boil. We were invited to photograph the Crawfish Boil at the Outpost on Black Creek in Freeport, Florida on March 18th and we got a personal invite to the friends and family event the night before for St. Patricks Day. This was a great opportunity to capture some amazing photos of this unique location.
The crawfish boil is a tradition that has been passed down for generations in the South. The event is held every spring, and it is a chance for the community to come together and enjoy a delicious meal.
The crawfish boil is a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The Outpost is right on Black creek and offers both indoor and covered outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the creek, and any of the boats that may be parked at the dock! There are buckets of crawfish everywhere, and no matter how hard they tried, I refused to touch one alive. The crawfish are cooked in a huge pot over an open fire, and they are served with corn on the cob, potatoes, and sausage.
The smell of the crawfish cooking is enough to make your mouth water. The crawfish are cooked perfectly, and they are so juicy and flavorful. The corn on the cob is also delicious, and it is perfectly cooked. The potatoes are soft and fluffy, and the sausage is cooked perfectly.
